Services We Offer

Based on a FREE initial assessment, your needs will be met through St. John’s parish volunteers, reliable referrals to professional resources, or a combination of both. St. John’s volunteers serve others with a faith based calling through programs and committees such as the Eucharist Ministers, Befrienders, St. Vincent de Paul, Faith Formation, Sunday School and others. Partnering with the current committees will ensure we are not duplicating services plus encourage us to further expand the services provided through our parish family.

Services Meet Mary, The ABLE Nurse Mary Hartz

My name is Mary Hartz and I live in St Paul, MN. I am a member of the St Thomas Moore parish. My background in nursing includes a Bachelor of Science degree from the College of St Teresa in Winona. I have also worked in hospital nursing at St Mary’s hospital in Rochester, St Thomas hospital in Nashville TN., and St Joseph Hospital in St Paul. For the past 13 years I have been a homecare nurse with the Wilder Foundation, working as a block nurse in the Summit Hill and Summit University neighborhoods of St Paul. I’ve always had an interest in parish nursing and felt there was a spiritual need not being met as I saw my clients. I completed the Concordia College Parish Nurse program last spring and knew I would love doing this. I am honored and excited to be working with you on the ABLE program!
